Herbal Medicine Consultation for Repeated IVF Failures in New York, NY
If you’ve experienced multiple failed IVF cycles, the reasons could include conditions such as endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), poor egg quality, inadequate uterine lining, or poor sperm quality. Undiagnosed autoimmune factors might also be contributing to infertility or recurrent miscarriages.
When these issues persist despite conventional medical treatments, it suggests that deeper, unresolved imbalances may be at play. For example, a cycle may still fail even with the transfer of a high-quality, genetically tested embryo.
This is where Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers a unique approach. Instead of focusing solely on symptoms or diagnosed conditions, TCM aims to address the underlying imbalances that may be contributing to infertility. This holistic approach seeks to enhance your chances of conception and achieving a healthy pregnancy.
If you are apprehensive about acupuncture due to a fear of needles, herbal medicine alone can be a highly effective alternative. Herbal medicine can help balance hormones, improve blood flow to the ovaries, uterus, and testes, and supply essential nutrients, oxygen, hormones, and electrolytes. These benefits enhance the quality of eggs, uterine lining health, and sperm.
And significantly increase your odds of having a take-home baby.
We offer a comprehensive evaluation that can be done in person in New York City or by phone if you are elsewhere. During this in-depth, one-and-a-half to two-hour consultation, we will develop a personalized herbal medicine formula tailored specifically to meet your needs.
Our approach addresses primary issues such as uterine inflammation from endometriosis, metabolic dysfunction in PCOS, poor egg quality due to advanced maternal age, uterine lining problems, or sperm quality issues while also considering overall health factors.
For instance, if you are significantly overweight, your herbal formula will include components to assist with weight management, as excess weight can further reduce fertility and increase the risk of miscarriage.
Once your personalized herbal prescription is prepared, we will email it to you. You can then order your herbs by phone from Kamwo Herbal Pharmacy in New York City, the oldest Chinese herbal pharmacy in the area. They will receive a copy of your prescription, so when you call, they’ll be ready to help you.
They offer convenient national and international shipping, ensuring you receive the highest-quality herbs regardless of your location.
We are committed to providing continuous support throughout your fertility journey. Every three weeks, we will meet in person or have a phone consultation to see if we need to adjust your prescription.
These follow-up consultations are included at no additional cost to ensure you receive the best care and support.
Patients typically take herbs for three to four months to achieve the best outcomes. Remember, it takes three months for an immature egg or sperm to reach maturity.
We provide compassionate, supportive, and expert care, focusing on a comprehensive approach to enhancing your reproductive health. By addressing both immediate concerns and underlying issues, we aim to improve your chances of conceiving and carrying a healthy pregnancy to term.

Mike is a licensed and board certified acupuncturist as well as a board certified herbalist. He is a fertility specialist at The Berkley Center for Reproductive Wellness in the Midtown East neighborhood of Manhattan, New York.
My wife and I wanted to start a family. We tried, and we failed repeatedly. I was not an acupuncturist then and had no understanding or belief in it. That did not hold much weight with my wife. We both underwent testing and found out that I had poor morphology and poor motility, and she had anti-sperm antibodies. Nancy saw an acupuncturist and herbalist, who also convinced me to go for treatment. Three months later, Nancy was pregnant. We now have a twenty-nine-year-old, healthy, happy, and successful son. This is when I became a believer. I decided to go to acupuncture school. I went for four years for acupuncture studies and then two more years to study herbal medicine. I knew from the first day at school that I wanted to specialize in treating others who were suffering from the terrible and challenging battle of infertility. I have spent the last twenty-seven years making my dream come true by helping my patient’s dreams come true. I am so grateful for the path I chose. A life dedicated to helping others has shown me a satisfaction I would have never known. I am thankful to my wife, and I am grateful to my patients.
This experience led Mike to obtain his degree in acupuncture from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine’s New York campus and his National Board Certification in herbal medicine. Equipped with the necessary license and fueled by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Mike studied Western medical approaches and the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine about infertility treatment. Through rigorous study and invaluable clinical experience, he developed unique acupuncture protocols and proprietary herbal formulas, tailoring them to each individual or couple seeking his assistance.

After childbirth, many new mothers experience a range of physical and emotional symptoms collectively known as postpartum conditions. Common signs include fatigue, sleep deprivation, mood swings, anxiety, depression (often referred to as baby blues or postpartum depression), and physical discomfort such as back pain and hormonal imbalances. These symptoms can vary in intensity and duration, impacting a mother’s overall well-being and her ability to care for her newborn.
Acupuncture and herbal medicine can provide significant relief for postpartum symptoms. Acupuncture helps by promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and balancing hormones, which can alleviate mood swings and anxiety. It also improves blood flow and energy levels, helping to combat fatigue and physical discomfort. Herbal medicine, customized to each individual’s needs, can support hormonal balance, boost energy, and improve sleep quality. Together, these treatments offer a holistic approach to recovery, helping new mothers regain their strength and emotional stability during the postpartum period.
